Etchings

My etchings printed at Treedogpress Studio in Woody Creek, Colorado, are limited edition series; runs of 20. I use a Griffen Press that also converts to a lithography press. My current limited editions include “Watson Divide”, “Saints and Fountains” and two series that include “Garden Series” and “Flight of the Soul”.

“Garden series images” is a series that came about from research I did on the history & symbolism of gardens. A lot of well thought intention went into the hardscape and landscape of gardens throughout history. Gardens are very feminine in design ranging from circular structures to triangles to circles enclosed in squares.

“Watson Divide” was an image that was inspired across the river from my house in Woody Creek, Colorado. It’s a winding dirt road that goes from Woody Creek Via Highway 82 over Watson Divide into the Snowmass Creek area. Up to just a few years ago, twice a year ranchers would heard their cows from Triangle Park, in Woody Creek where they fed for the summer, down Lower River Road, across Hwy 82 heading over Watson Divide into the Snowmass creek area where they would winter down.

“Flight of the Soul” series is my interpretation of an inner journey to your soul and the struggles we go through to get there. The fight, the denial, the release and the peace.
